About The Author:  Marion Bond West is fascinated by honesty:  honesty in others, honesty with herself, honesty with God.  For almost forty years, she has written honestly about her life and God in a wide variety of books, magazines, and newspapers.  Marion is a contributing editor of Guideposts magazine, having written for the internationally recognized publiscation and for the devotional book Daily Guideposts for more than thirty years.  She and her husband, Gene Acuff, live in Watkinsville, Georgia.

My Thoughts About The Book:  I have been a huge fan of Marion Bond West for thirty years.  She is an amazingly honest writer and her books and articles have always touched deep into my heart.  This Spirit Lifter is no different.  Bond does an exceptional job of providing short devotionals that provide scriptures, stories, and a prayer with each entry.  I loved them all!  Somebody Really Special could have been written about my life.  The scripture from Isaiah 60:20 was perfectly chosen for this story. The story of Gene Acuff (pen-al then) and the Milk Duds made me laugh.  The scripture from 2 John 1:12 was one I have now made my own.  It applies to everyone.  I think my favorite was called Life Lessons with text from Matthew 7:11.  It appears that West and I grew up in a similar era.  This one brought memories flooding back to me of a time long ago when I too was a young, impressionable child of six.  This is a must read and a must have!

Disclosure of Material Connection: I received this book free from Litfuse Publicity Group's blog tour program. I was not required to write a positive review. All they asked for was an honest review. The opinions I have expressed are my own. I am disclosing this in accordance with the Federal Trade Commission's 16 CFR, Part 255.
