William's Midsummer Dreams by Zilpha Keatley Snyder - OPTIONAL

Snyder, Zilpha Keatley William's Midsummer Dreams, 209 pgs. Atheneum, 2011. Language - G, Sexual Content - G; Violence - PG; William "ex-Bagget" Hardinson is planning to be in A Midsummer Night's Dream this summer and he knows he will have a great time. While there, though, he gets more problems then he wants to deal with. William gets an enemy on the first day, receives letters from a worrying sister, and the past is coming back to haunt him. Can he survive what he thought would be a perfect summer? While it was entertaining for a while, there wasn't enough action. Things went too smoothly for William throughout the last half of the book. It's a good book if you like less action, a tiny bit of mystery, and a happy ending, but it was too tame for my tastes. MS - OPTIONAL. Reviewer: CCH
