2. From Pam of "Alert And Oriented x 4": Which of your shoes are your absolute favorite, and which are of the object of your most painful shoe-buyer's remorse? Favorite shoes are my Yellow Boxes. I have flip flops and boots and love them all. Buyer’s remorse shoes are actually a pair of Clarks. They pinch and I knew it when I bought the things.
3. From Susanne of "Living to Tell the Story": Tell about your favorite birthday celebration that you've personally experienced. As a child it would have to be my 13th birthday. I was allowed to invite 13 girls to a bowling party and each girl brought me pajamas as a gift….so when the day was over I had 13 pairs of baby doll pajamas. As an adult it would have to be my 50th birthday. My friends surprised me with an awesome gathering of old and new friends. Still Magnolias sang and it was just the greatest.
4. From Lori of "Just me and My Life": If you were a flavor of ice cream, which would you be? I struggled with this one a bit so I went to an Ice Cream website and got a great answer. As a chocolate chip lover, you are competitive and accomplished; no victory is sweet without a little hard work. Although you are competent and ambitious in love and work, you are generous with your time and money, never taking your blessings for granted. Your captivating personality makes you a shining star in social situations.
5. Cindy Swanson of "Notes in the Key of Life" asks: Have you ever had a crush on a movie star? Who was it, and are you still crushing? When I was a child I had a crush on Burt Reynolds. I kissed him when I was 13 at a fund raiser and met him when I was 18. I am not still crushing although I still think he is a good looking man.
6. Jill from "Jill Boyd's Place" inquires: Glasses or braces--if you had to wear one, which would it be? I wear glasses and it is not such a big deal….you CAN get contacts.
7. Nel from "Fasteneau Facts" asks: If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be? The UK. I would love to live in Waterville, Ireland or a small burrow in Scotland.
8. Thena from "Patiently Waiting" wants to know: If money were no obstacle, what would be the perfect birthday gift to receive? A month long trip to Scotland.
9. From "Life Through Bifocals," LynnMarie asks: What is your favorite birthday meal? Ribs. My dad cooked them for me every year from the time I was big enough to eat them. My 54th birthday was the last time I had them.
10. Debby at "Just Breathe" checks in with: Do you still send hand-written thank you notes? Yes, I love to send them and love to get them. One of my favorite came from Jeannie over at Jeannie’s Happy World. She made the card! I thought that was the coolest thing ever.
11. Linda from "Mocha with Linda" poses this question: What is something you've done that you never thought you'd do? Hang glided in Tennessee. STUPID!

Jewel, my homegirl from Indiana who writes at "Musings from the World of Jewel," is very insistent that we answer this: Mount Rushmore honors four US Presidents: Washington, Jefferson, Lincoln, and Roosevelt. If you could add any person to Mount Rushmore, who would you add and why? Eisenhower or Theodore Roosevelt. Eisenhower very much had control, and was a very effective and commanding president. Roosevelt was the first to try to control big business. ("Busted" the big Northern Securities Company along with I think 40 other trusts, which are monopolies) He tried to conserve the country and established our modern National Parks System. He established the Panama Canal. Oh, and he supported boy scouts! He was a "Rough Rider" in the Spanish-American war. he regulated food in factories. Presidents in the past 40 years are not like they used to be.
