French Ducks In Venice by Garret Freymann-Weyr - OPTIONAL

Freymann-Weyr, Garret French Ducks In Venice, 45 pgs. Candlewick Press, 2011.  $16.99.  Language-G (0 swears, 0 “f”), Sexual Content-G; Violence-G; PICTURE BOOK.  This book is about a brother and sister duck who live in California.  They have a human friend named Polina.  They think she is a princess.  When Polina’s heart gets broken, they go about trying to fix it.

The book shows that there is sunshine amongst the clouds.  It has an underlying thought that differences are part of life.  It is a nice story.  In my opinion, it was nothing spectacular.  EL-OPTIONAL.  Reviewer: BMN
