Five Minute Friday - Look

For the past couple of months I have been taking part in Lisa-Jo's Five Minute Friday.  I have really enjoyed this and would love for you to join in.  It is really simple.  All you have to do is:

1. Write for 5 minutes flat – no editing, no over thinking, no backtracking.
2. Link back here and invite others to join in.

3. And then absolutely, no ifs, ands or buts about it, you need to visit the person who linked up before you & encourage them in their comments. Seriously. That is, like, the rule. And the fun. And the heart of this community..

Oh and Ahem, if you would take pity and turn off comment verification, it would make leaving some love on your post that much easier for folks!  Please, please, please turn off those comment verification things.  Sometimes it takes me four or five tries to get them accepted.

OK, are you ready? Won’t you please give me your best five minutes on:::

Today's topic is:

LOOK

Go:

I did not look where I was going this morning.  I always get up before Frank and get ready for work.  Beau, the dog, had an upset stomach and if I had been looking as I walked down my dark hallway I would not have started my day by stepping in dog poop.  Not a great way to start even a Friday.  I looked carefully on the side of the road from Roanoke to Alex City to make sure no deer become suicidal and jump into my car.  I look around my room and see all my Spanish II students working silently on a test.  In a few minutes they will all be finished and pandamonium will break out as they began their projects on the Aztecs, Incas, and Mayans.  They have to look at the lives of these power house Indian groups through their eyes.  They have to explain to someone else what it was like to be one of  them.  I look at my students and I smile.  I look slouchy today because this is pep rally Friday.  I have on jeans and a t-shirt, no make-up, and tennis shoes.  I love Fridays.  Frank and I are going to the movies in LaGrange tonight.  We may stop by the Kia dealer and look at a new Kia.  It looks like we might need to get me another car because my car has nearly 200,000. miles on it.  Isaiah 40:26 is one of my favorite verses.  It tells us to, "Lift up your eyes and look to the heavens."  This is one of  the verses I claim daily.  I just remembering....that I have to look....forward....heavenward.....to the future.....and keep my eyes off the past.

STOP:
Have a great weekend.  See you on the flipside...and I hope you will join us and play along.
